Year Round Activities

Mt Buller offers over 300 hectares of mountain terrain with 22 ski lifts capable of moving 40,000 skiers an hour. The slopes are suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboard riders.

Mt Buller Ski School offers comprehensive ski and snowboard lessons. The " Bunyip" Kids Childcare and Lessons at the Ski School are fantastic for both infants and toddlers and there is a comprehensive creche available for infants 3 months onwards.

Mt Buller Village is simply magic by day or by night and boasts several hotels, chalets ,club bars, restaurants and eateries as well as fully licensed Foodwork's Supermarket that can deliver direct to your apartment.

Mt Stirling (Buller's neighbouring mountain, accessible from the toll entry at Mirimbah) now offers great cross country skiing and tobogganing with a hire equipment shop, ski patrol base and bistro. At the base of 'Buller there are several licensed restaurants and bars including "The Mill Inn" at Alpine Ridge and "The Hunt Club Hotel" at Merrijig.

Mirimbah store has a ski hire/chain hire, light groceries and friendly cafe.

During summer and other seasons when the snow has melted, there is an endless choice of activities in the High Country region including bushwalking, 4WD, trout fishing, visits to historic cattleman’s huts, horse riding (a couple of hours or a couple of days trail rides), boating and fishing at nearby Lake Eildon, local wineries, golf, arts & crafts. There are now several mountain biking events held during the summer as well as the successful "Targa" car rally weekend in November of each year.

The region boasts many annual events including the unique Merrijig Rodeo, Mirimbah Picnic in the Park and several Bush Market days.
